Pae Arak is one of Thailand’s most well-known independent artists, celebrated for his versatile career spanning music and film. His musical journey began as the guitarist for the indie rock band Slur. After going solo, he adopted a folk-country style before signing with What The Duck in 2017.
Under the label, his music—often performed with The Pisat Band—evolved to include funk, pop, and electronic elements, as heard in tracks like “Dance Song.” His latest album, The Back Seat, showcased his songwriting that features social reflections and is inspired by his personal life, such as negative online comments.
Beyond music, Pae is a successful actor and, as of 2025, a film director with his debut crime thriller, The Stone. He consistently identifies as an “Indie” innovator, seeking to explore unconventional themes and deliver his art in a unique, non-mainstream way.
